A journalist for Mideast cable network Al Jazeera has been fined for flying a drone over the center of Paris.

The journalist was one of three people arrested last week for illegally operating aerial vehicles near various landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower. Two of the journalists were released but the third, Tristan Redman, was charged and pleaded guilty.

It is illegal to operate a drone in France without permission.
