LONDON -- Canadian singer Alanis Morissette, is taking on a new role -- advice columnist.
Starting later this month in the Guardian, Morissette's column, which will feature in the weekend magazine, is the second new venture she has started recently.
The 41-year-old, who admitted to feeling like a "family therapist" when she grew up in Ottawa, Canada, decided to start her own podcast, which focuses on relationships and wellbeing. “I cut my teeth, basically, listening for a living," she said.
Twitter had a mixed reaction to the announcement. Some, unsurprisingly, quoted lyrics.
Alanis Morissette is going to be an advice columnist for the Gaurdian, well isn't it ironic!— Carolyn (@tweetycakes78) January 8, 2016
Others thought the singer was perfect candidate to take over the column from Molly Ringwald.

We're sure Alanis' advice will comfort those who write in, even though for a lot of us her voice and guitar are comforting enough.
