There's something very wrong with the ingredients on this British ham packet

LONDON -- When it comes to processed meat, people often worry they're not getting enough of the real thing (or, as was the case with the infamous horse meat scandal of 2013, the wrong thing entirely).

This packet of British ham is getting attention for a completely different reason, though.

Yep, that's right. 110% pork. Can't argue with that, can you?

The ham was purchased from an Aldi store in West Yorkshire by Della Farzad, according to Metro.

"I checked the label because I don't eat meat, and I wondered how much was in it," she said. "When I saw it I burst out laughing, even though I was on my own."

And the explanation behind the mistake? It all comes down to one simple character.

According to a statement given by an Aldi UK spokesperson to the Metro, the numbers on the packet are actually right -- but the percentage sign should be replaced with grams.

UPDATED 23 JANUARY 12:15: To clear up any confusing around the amounts, 110g of pork would be used per 100g of the finished product (as with the ingredients of this Tesco ham).
