Protests in Algeria intensified over the weekend, and the Algerian government responded by blocking access to Facebook accounts and several Internet service providers across the country.

Foursquare Translated into 5 New Languages

Foursquare co-founder and CEO Dennis Crowley announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona that the location-based checkin service is now available in five new languages -- Spanish, French, German, Italian and Japanese -- and that it now boasts 6.5 million users and 2 million checkins per day.
