NBC has found its Peter Pan.

Girls star Allison Williams has been tapped to play the always-young mischievous character in NBC's upcoming Peter Pan Live.

“We couldn’t be happier that Allison Williams is our Peter Pan,” NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said in a statement. “She’s a lovely rising star on the award-winning show Girls -- where she occasionally shows off her incredible vocal talent -- and we think she will bring the perfect blend of ‘boyish’ vulnerability and bravado to save the day against Christopher Walken’s powerful Captain Hook.”

The network announced Walken's casting back in July during the Television Critics Association Press Tour.

Williams, who is the daughter of NBC newscaster Brian Williams, has sung several times on Girls and her character, Marnie, has pursued a singing career.

“I have wanted to play Peter Pan since I was about three years old, so this is a dream come true,” added Williams in a press release. "It’s such an honor to be a part of this adventure, and I’m very excited to get to work with this extraordinarily talented team. And besides what could go wrong in a live televised production with simultaneous flying, sword fighting and singing?" (Williams even instagrammed a photo of her young self to prove her long-time ambitions.)

The new musical will be executive produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, the duo behind Sound of Music Live!, which starred Carrie Underwood and Stephen Moyer.

Peter Pan Live is set to air Dec. 4 on NBC.
