Most people probably haven’t seen a single alpenhorn, the wooden, meters-long folk instrument of the Swiss, in person -- let alone the more than 200 horns that were played in the Swiss mountains earlier this week.
Situated in Haute-Nendaz, more than 7,000 feet above sea level, the Alphorn International Festival of Nendaz brought together horn players, music enthusiasts and lovers of Switzerland’s colorful folk culture.
