Amazon Cloud Player Mac App Is Finally Here

Amazon rolled out a dedicated Cloud Player for Macs on Tuesday, allowing users to manage their music libraries on computers or in the cloud and even access files offline.

The news comes about five months after the company introduced the Cloud Player app for desktop PCs and is a part of a greater initiative to bring its music service "everywhere."

Previously, Mac owners could access the Cloud Player through web browsers, but this move allows users to store music offline. The app also lets users stream music files previously purchased from Amazon and upload other songs from platforms such as iTunes, and keep them in cloud-based storage lockers.

Meanwhile, the music purchased using Amazon Cloud Player for Mac is backed up in the cloud and can be accessed via any Kindle Fire, Android phone or tablet, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Samsung TV, Roku, Sonos, PC or web browser.
