Amazon Instant Video has finally been updated with full AirPlay support. As a result, you can now use the app to watch titles from Prime Instant Video and the Amazon Instant Video store right on your Apple TV via AirPlay.
In addition to AirPlay support, another new feature is integration with IMDb, which Amazon also owns. This lets you see IMDb cast and director information, ratings, goofs, trivia and quotes right within Amazon Instant Video. This harks back to the IMDb iOS app’s update seven months ago, which brought Amazon Instant Video integration.

The new version of Amazon Instant Video is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad running iOS 5 or later.
Amazon Instant Video was released intially for iPad in August last year. It was made compatible for iPhone and iPod touch through its universal update the following December.
