Amazon Launches Spanish, Italian Kindles and Stores

Amazon has launched a Spanish and Italian Kindle Store with a large selection of Spanish-language Kindle books, as well the first Spanish-language Kindle.

The Spanish Kindle store offers more than 900,000 titles, 22,000 of which are in Spanish. Some of the authors included are Mario Vargas Llosa, Julia Navarro, Carlos Ruiz Zafón and Rosa Montero.

The Italian Kindle Store also contains more than 900,000 titles, with 16,000 Italian-language books, including many best-sellers and free Italian classics. Authors include Roberto Saviano, Tiziano Terzani, Umberto Eco, Susanna Tamaro, Erri De Luca and Marcello Simoni.

Independent authors and publishers are also welcome to make their books available in the Spanish and Italian Kindle Stores via Kindle Direct Publishing.

The Kindles are now available on www.amazon.es/kindle and www.amazon.it/kindle at the price of €99 ($134).
