LOS ANGELES -- Virtual reality is looking a little messed up in a new poster for Amazon Studios' upcoming film Creative Control.

The poster, exclusively debuting on Mashable, calls the film "a story about virtually everything." The movie, which is set in New York, takes place 5 minutes in the future. It follows David (played by writer/director Benjamin Dickinson), an overworked advertising executive who is developing a high-profile marketing campaign for a new generation of Augmented Reality glasses.

Feeling stuck in his relationship with yoga teacher Juliette (Nora Zehetner), David decides to use the glasses to develop a life-like avatar of his best friend's girlfriend Sophie (Alexia Rasmussen).

Amazon Studios picked up the rights for Creative Control at the South By Southwest festival last March, where the film nabbed the special jury prize for visual excellence.

The studio is partnering up with Magnolia Pictures to release the movie in theaters on March 11.

Amazon has already made a name for itself in the TV landscape, winning Golden Globes for both Transparent and Mozart in the Jungle. Now, it is hoping to break into film more with a line-up of original films.

The studio's first film, Chi-Raq, rolled out in U.S. theaters and on Prime last year.

Amazon announced that its second film — Paterson — is being directed by Jim Jarmusch (known for indie films like Coffee and Cigarettes) and stars Adam Driver (fresh off Star Wars). Amazon will also release Elvis & Nixon, which stars Kevin Spacey and Michael Shannon, with Bleecker Street.

More recently, Amazon picked up a few big titles, including the Rachel Weisz drama Complete Unknown, at the Sundance Film Festival in January.
