Amazon is looking to get heavy into another market: selling wine. The large online retailer already has a pretty vast product selection in its grocery aisle, and adding wine to this section will bring in a lot more money for Amazon, reports The Financial Times. In its hometown of Seattle, Amazon will be trying out wine and beer sales with its fresh grocery delivery service called Amazon Fresh.

Amazon had already attempted to penetrate this market with online distribution having invested $30 million in Wineshopper back in 1999, though the site didn't make it past the bubble. As The Financial Times also notes, Wine.com already distributes products through Amazon - everything but wine. But thanks to a 2005 Supreme Court ruling that has eased th restrictions of shipping by vineyards, online wine retail has been able to grow in a much more fruitful manner.
