Amazon's Earnings and Two Other Stories You Need to Know

Welcome to this morning's edition of "First To Know," a series in which we keep you in the know on what's happening in the digital world.

Today, we're looking at three particularly interesting stories. Amazon reported mixed quarterly earnings on Thursday -- $21.27 billion in revenue was a little short of Wall Street’s expectations, but the sting was lessened somewhat by $405 million in operating income. YouTube could be launching a paid video subscription model as soon as April. Finally, Twitter's video sharing service Vine is really picking up speed, with new tools to make sharing easier showing up each day. The latest on this list is Vineit, a browser extension that lets you share Vine videos to Tumblr with one click.
