AMC and Nerdist Announce Cross-Platform Partnership

Nerdist Industries and AMC announced a cross-platform relationship today that will bring YouTube and broadcast television one step closer together.

The nerd culture media company will show bonus footage from AMC’s live Walking Dead after-show, Talking Dead, hosted by Nerdist founder Chris Hardwick. The extended conversations and couch talk extras will also be available on talkingdead.com.

AMC also signed a development deal with Nerdist to turn one of its most successful YouTube channels, "All Star Celebrity Bowling," into a potential television series for the network.

"AMC has been incredibly forward-thinking with us through this process," said Hardwick in an official press release.

The founder also said that expanding Nerdist across multiple platforms has always been one of the main goals. The company has grown from a single podcast to a full powerhouse of digital content -- purchased by Legendary Entertainment in July.

The YouTube channel launched in April, and has since produced dozens of successful series, such as Neil Patrick Harris's "Puppet Dreams."
