Adrianne Haslet-Davis tweeted at American Airlines on Thursday night: "u lost my luggage w over $250k of leg & dance parts."

The professional dancer, who was injured in the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013, said that she had not been able to dance in the days since the airline lost her luggage.

Hi @AmericanAir u lost my luggage w over $250k of leg & dance parts. I have an entire team on u. Pls respond, been days can't dance #retweet— AdrianneHD (@AdrianneHaslet) November 20, 2015

Haslet-Davis tweeted Friday that her bag "went to a country I've never been to."

They called. It went to a country I've never been to. They are trying to find it don't know yet. Apologized for false tweet. TY @AmericanAir— AdrianneHD (@AdrianneHaslet) November 20, 2015

Her tweet inspired a social media campaign as other Twitter users asked American to do more to help.

Even before the airline found the luggage -- which she soon tweeted that they did -- Haslet-Davis was said she appreciated the effort that was going into helping her.

Update; no update. Yet I love, & appreciate, & this shows an example o how we can all rise above what happened & solve! @AmericanAir— AdrianneHD (@AdrianneHaslet) November 20, 2015

Haslet-Davis lost her lower left leg in the April 2013 attacks. She danced again publicly at a March 2014 TED Conference in British Columbia, thanks to a prosthesis made for her at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Media Lab.

American Airlines spokesman Joshua Freed said it was "terribly sorry" for losing the bag and was working to get it back to Haslet-Davis as soon as possible.

In addition to tweeting that her luggage had been found, Haslet-Davis also said that she is "working on something huge after a great brainstorming sesh w AmericanAir."

1/2 Great news! @AmericanAir had its best people on it and found it! A little jealous it got to travel somewhere pretty. Also, I'm— AdrianneHD (@AdrianneHaslet) November 20, 2015

2/2 working on something huge after a great brainstorming sesh w @AmericanAir Thank you for listening & seeing a great need for amputees! Xo— AdrianneHD (@AdrianneHaslet) November 20, 2015

Looks like an otherwise ordinary airline luggage incident could turn into a positive for more than one traveler.
