Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan revisits his struggling actor days on Twitter

On Monday, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan shared a photograph of his early days as a struggling actor with his fans on Twitter.

Bachchan revealed that the black-and-white photograph was rejected in a talent hunt for aspiring actors called the Filmfare Madhuri contest in the late 1960s. Bachchan was then trying to get a break into Hindi films.

Bachchan has earlier spoken about how about depsite this rejection, he had made up his his mind to come to Mumbai and become an actor.

On Facebook, he added, "It isn't surprising why they rejected me after seeing this picture. This thin palm tree doesn't look like it can become an actor from any angle." Bachchan finally made his acting debut in the 1969 film Saat Hindustani and went on to become one of the biggest stars of Hindi cinema.
