"I believe it was my mentor, the great Bill Cosby, who said, 'drink this!'"

Amy Schumer began her Cosby bit with a short standup set on her show Inside Amy Schumer on Tuesday. The 77-year-old comedian has recently been accused of allegedly drugging and raping dozens of women throughout his career.

In October 2014 the allegations gained traction after comedian Hannibal Burress joked about Cosby on stage and the clip went viral on YouTube.

After the short standup set, Schumer set the stage for "The Public Opinion Trial of Bill Cosby," in which she acted as Cosby's defense attorney and used the comedian's charming qualities and family friendly roles to sway opinions of his sexual assault allegations, such as pudding pops and funny sweaters.

In Novemeber 2014, after Burress' joke went viral, Cosby took the stage donning a sweater that read, "Hello Friend".

Finishing the skit, Cosby (who's character was not portrayed in the skit) wanted to thank Schumer for defending him, with a cocktail. Schumer tossed it over her shoulder.

Many of the women who have accused Cosby of sexual assault have stated that he drugged their beverages. In January Cosby told audience members of one standup show to be "careful about drinking around" him.
