As America's election season reaches its fever pitch, Bud Light is trying its hand at political satire with a new celebrity-studded campaign set to debut at the Super Bowl.
The spot airing during the Big Game -- which the beer brand released a 30-second teaser for on Friday -- stars Seth Rogen and Amy Schumer as candidates of the newly created "Bud Light Party."
“This is more than just a Super Bowl ad,” Bud Light vice president Alexander Lambrecht said in a statement. “It’s a completely new communication of what Bud Light stands for – inclusivity, positivity and fun."
The campaign also features Bud Light's new packaging redesign -- set to hit shelves in April -- and new tagline: "Raise one to right now," which will replace its previous slogan, "Up for Whatever."
The flashy advertising reboot comes amid a year of slumping sales for the Anheuser-Busch InBev-owned brand. It's also the first major campaign from ad agency, Wieden+Kennedy, which the company enlisted last summer to take over its creative work from BBDO.
