Since emoji entered our lives and made them more beautiful, people have been rallying for new characters to express every facet of the human experience. From racial diversity to the frequently-requested taco emoji, the keyboard still has a long way to go.

People were also very angry about the limited flag options, but it looks like there's hope on the horizon -- staring Nov. 12, the Android 5.0 Lollipop update supports 209 new flag emoji, including Canada, Brazil, and Australia.

Still no Antarctica flag, though.

To celebrate, here's the emoji version of the Canadian national anthem:

It's still a bit of an uphill battle -- the new flag characters are not on the keyboard, so you'll need to go to Emojipedia and copy the character to paste it into your message.

If you're using Windows, iOS, OS X, Windows, or older versions of Android, your system will not support the new characters, and flags will display as a two-letter country code like this:

It's not ideal, but it's a start towards a perfect world with every emoji our hearts desire.
