Android Pay, Google's own mobile payment system that uses smartphones running Android to pay for things, could launch in the U.S. as soon Aug. 26, according to photos distributed to several McDonald's restaurants.

The photos obtained by Android Police inform McDonald's managers and crew members on what mobile payments are and how to accept them.

"This month, customers will be able to start using Samsung and Android mobile devices to pay for their orders," reads one notification sent out to McDonald's staff.

Another photo posted to reddit by user BlackMartian also reportedly corroborates Android Pay's launch later this week:

The above photo, along with Android Police's own spottings reveals participating Android Pay partners will also begin receiving decals to affix to point-of-sale terminals (POS) to inform customers they can pay with their phones.

Google has yet to announce an official launch date for Android Pay, its Apple Pay rival, only committing to a launch "later this year."

Contrary to the leaked staff memos, Samsung Pay, Samsung's own mobile payment system that works with both NFC and MST (the same magnetic swiping technology used by credit cards), will not launch on Aug. 21, but on Sept. 28. It's likely McDonald's confused Samsung Pay's launch date with that of the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+, which did arrive last week. (The payment service launched in South Korea on Aug. 20.)
