Fox is keeping the Emmys hosting gig in the family.

The TV Academy on Thursday announced that Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Andy Samberg will be the host of the 2015 Emmy Awards, airing Sept. 20 on Fox.

In a statement, Samberg -- in a peak Andy Samberg moment -- said:

Buckle your seat belts, Emmy viewers! Like, in general you should buckle your seat belts in your car. In fact, even if you're not an Emmy viewer, you should buckle your seat belt. It can be dangerous on the road. Also, if you're not an Emmy viewer, you should strongly consider becoming one this year, because I'm hosting, and it's gonna be a wild ride. So buckle your seat belts.

Perfect.

More seriously, Fox TV group chairmen and CEOs Gary Newman and Dana Walden said Samberg's live TV experience and general hilarity were the reasons they picked the former SNL-er for the gig.

"We know he’ll deliver the laughs and give viewers an incredible night they will enjoy," they said in a joint statement.

Fellow SNL alum Seth Meyers presided over last year's ceremony, which aired on NBC and garnered 15.6 million viewers.

Besides SNL, Samberg has hosted two award shows in the past -- 2012 Independent Spirit Awards and the 2009 MTV Movie Awards.
