Rejoice! Andy Samberg has liberated you from your parents' clutches.

During Sunday's Emmys, Samberg shared his HBO account with the world. And it actually works.

Samberg's bit was a response to HBO CEO Richard Plepler who previously said he and HBO frankly doesn't give a damn if you are stealing your parents/roommates/ex-boyfriend's third cousin's HBO password because they're "in the business of creating addicts."

"It’s not that we’re unmindful of it, it just has no impact on the business,” he said.

Samberg's account is for HBO Now (not HBO GO), so it doesn't require you to enter a television provider. But HBO Now also hands out free seven-day trials to new users, so this could've been some kind of HBO-Emmys cross promotion to get people hooked in.

If anyone needs some @HBO recommendations, we'll be here all night. Apparently. Thanks, @AndySamberg. #Emmys— HBO NOW (@hbonow) September 21, 2015

The website emmyhost.com is also a working URL -- it was created four days ago -- but only hosts a lorem ipsum text.

HBO has not yet responded to Mashable's request for comment on Samberg's account.

Thanks, Andy! Now stop watching the Emmys, and go stream all of Veep until your heart's content -- or until this account crashes.

UPDATE: Sept. 20, 11:41 p.m.: HBO confirmed to Vulture that they were aware Samberg's gag was going to happen, but it wasn't a paid placement.

BONUS: Your parents want you to stop using their HBO Go account
