Angela Bassett will portray Six in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, the latest installment of the Rainbow Six video game franchise, which features some hyper-realistic motion-capture work.
Mashable spoke to Bassett at this year's E3, a gaming conference held in Los Angeles (check out our interview in the video, above). She said she became interested in the role after discovering that Six had never been portrayed by a woman before. The veteran actress also has plenty of experience playing strong female characters, including voodoo queen Marie Laveau on American Horror Story: Coven.
Judging from the game's promotional clips, Bassett's portrayal is spot-on.
