Angelina Jolie will be "home itching" rather than attending promotional events for her new film Unbroken because she has the chickenpox.
In a stripped-down video posted on Universal Pictures' YouTube channel, see above, the director shares why she's calling in sick.
"I just wanted to be clear and honest about why I will be missing the Unbroken events in the next few days," she said. "I will be home itching and missing everyone and I cant believe it 'cause this film means so much to me. I just can't believe it, but such is life, there it is."
The video comes after the massive Sony hack exposed a private email in which Hollywood producer Scott Rudin dissed Jolie, calling her a "minimally talented spoiled brat" and the Hollywood Foreign Press skipped over Unbroken for a Golden Globe nomination Thursday.
