The game you couldn’t tear yourself away from is about to become the movie you didn’t really need.

But even though it's about two years late to the party, Angry Birds: The Movie could work. The cast is stacked with Saturday Night Live alumni Jason Sudeikis, Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph and Kate McKinnon, quality comics like Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Tony Hale and Keegan-Michael Key, and even dramatic Emmy winner Peter Dinklage. A group like this could make any premise funny.

Sudeikis stars as Red, a grumpy bird who would probably get along well with Shrek if both of them didn’t hate everyone.

The trailer doesn’t tell us much about the movie's plot, instead choosing to showcase funny moments from its all-star cast. The final scene shows Red growing increasingly annoyed with a creaky sign until he becomes -- wait for it -- an ANGRY BIRD.

The film is set to release in May 2016.
