New Animated Series Attacks Clinton, Obama & More

I must admit, as we get closer to the presidential elections of 2008, the efforts of so many looking to capitalize on the array of characters hoping to get into the White House just keep getting more entertaining. Take why08 or Indecision2008, for example.

It seems as though the more we get to know the candidates, the more we can have fun at their expense. And not surprisingly, this includes an animated series aptly titled "Race for the White House," which premiers today on the multi-platform animation network AniBoom.

Written by four-time Emmy nominated writer Gabe Abelson, the series will show candidates like Obama, Clinton, Giuliani and McCain in their cut throat efforts to make it into the Oval Office.

The series is beyond satirical, and is set against the backdrops of classic films and pop culture TV shows like "Survivor" and "The Wizard of Oz." Abelson, who's own experience in politics includes writing jokes for Bill Clinton, "Politically Incorrect" and "The Tonight Show," won't be the only one working on the new animated series.
