People love animals. Even more people love chairs.
London artist Maximo Riera recently decided to combine our love of all things adorable and sedentary with his latest collection of animal chairs.
This limited-edition furniture collection comes at a hefty cost, anywhere between $45,000 to $102,000. But take a look at this elephant-inspired chair. Is it worth it?
OF COURSE IT IS.
"The Animal Chair Collection is a limited edition project as each piece is produced in a non-repeatable color code, making ... individual and completely unique pieces," Riera told Mashable.
Riera has been making these chairs for several years. This latest collection, though, is more expansive (new animals!) and uses new technology to obtain precise measurements.
"The chairs are made in high dense polyurethane, which ... is as consistent and resilient as solid wood," Riera said. "They contain an internal metallic frame to reinforce the structure of the entire composition. We are currently using the latest in 3D modeling softwares as well as a cutting edge engineering production and manufacturing techniques, in order to achieve the most accurate and finest outcome."
