The rustic look has gone too far.

For the low, low price of just $99.95, you, too, can be the proud owner of Anthropologie's perfectly distressed, two-foot tall, West Village Corrugated Can. It's a rusty trash can. And it's actually on sale. The original price of the trash can was $148.

The cozy, country farmhouse look has become increasingly popular in recent years, but a dinged-up trash can should never be this expensive. If it makes a difference, they claim the can is handmade and it comes with an equally chic mango wood or abaca rope handle.

Would you expect anything less from Anthropologie? The home goods and clothing store owned by Urban Outfitters is marketed toward rich people who love to DIY and design but don't love digging through the trash.

Unfortunately, $100 seems to be the going rate for beat-up, rusty trash cans. There are plenty genuinely vintage refuse cans, of the same size, that are available on Etsy for about the same price.

At least the review section had some gems.
