AOL rolled out their new AOL Search Podcast Beta earlier this week. The service is powered by Podscope, the audio and video search engine that AOL inked a deal with back in September 2005. The system works by transcribing the podcasts, then providing written-word search. They're also allowing users to submit their podcasts for inclusion.
The results seem fair, but the service currently lacks video search. Alternatives include Podzinger and Blinkx.
