AOL has officially completed the acquisition of Tacoda, the online advertising network that works on behavioral targeting.

The initial announcement for this acquisition happened earlier this year, in late July. While the financial details were not disclosed, estimates infer that the amount was between $200 million and $300 million. Tacoda will remain a wholly owned subsidiary of AOL. The plans for integrating Tacoda into AOL's larger advertising network include a value add onto Advertising.com, AOL's third-party display network. There will also be better advertising options that AOL can present to its advertisers.

Others that are moving more towards some level of behavioral targeting include AdMob, Grayboxx (for search), AdJug and Yahoo.
