Apple Black Friday Deals in Europe: Discounts Instead of Gift Cards

Apple's Black Friday deals have gone live in European stores. Unlike Australia and the U.S., where customers are offered gift cards for purchases, in Europe Apple is offering standard discounts.

The savings are similar in all stores: we've checked Apple France, Spain, Germany and the UK. Getting a MacBook of any kind will net you a ₤81 ($132) discount in the UK, or a €101 ($138) discount in the rest of Europe.

Europeans can also save €35 on an iPad Air, €21 on an iPad mini, €31 on an iPad 2, €31 on an iPad touch and €11 on an iPod nano. The UK savings for the same gadgets are ₤31, ₤15, ₤25, ₤25 and ₤11, respectively.

Customers in the U.S. and Australia will have to make do with gift cards on purchases, ranging from $25 for an iPod nano to $150 for a MacBook in the U.S.
