Rumors about a larger iPad that began early last year are still swirling, with fans and analysts envisioning what Apple's next-gen tablet might look like.

A designer in Germany tackled this speculation head-on by creating a convincing concept design of an iPad Pro.

Created by Curved Labs, the concept device imagines a 12.9-inch iPad that retains the thin form factor of the iPad Air at just 7.5 millimeters.

Of course, the concept doesn't include any technical specifications, but based on the images, part of the way such a form factor might be achieved is by eliminating the bezel of the device's sides. The designers also envision the larger display as being capable of displaying 4K video content.

But the real treat in this particular concept is the inclusion of the iPhone 5S Touch ID system. Some Apple fans were hoping to see the addition of Touch ID in the updated iPad mini with Retina display, but for now, the biometric feature is limited to Apple's flagship smartphone.

Still, if you're wondering what Touch ID will look like when it eventually comes to the iPad, this is probably the best view you'll get until we see the real thing.
