Apple isn't abandoning small iPhones just yet. The company just debuted the iPhone SE, a new 4-inch device with a design that largely resembles the iPhone 5S.
Though the iPhone SE looks like the iPhone 5S, its internals have been completely overhauled to keep up with modern-day performance. The iPhone SE will cost $399 for a 16GB and $499 for a 64GB model. You'll also be able to buy it for $17 a month. The iPhone SE will be available on March 31; pre-orders start on March 24.
The iPhone SE runs iOS 9.3 and supports Live Photos. It comes with the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus's 64-bit A9 processor, M9 motion coprocessor and 12-megapixel iSight camera with 4K video recording and 240 fps slow-motion.
The iPhone SE is available in two capacities: 16GB and 64GB. Like the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, it'll be available in four colors: silver, space gray, gold and rose gold.

The iPhone SE has the same Touch ID fingerprint sensor from the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus (not the new faster one on the 6S and 6S Plus), Apple Pay, faster Wi-Fi, faster LTE and Bluetooth 4.2. Apple also says it has improved the phone's battery life; you'll be able to surf the Internet for up to 12 hours on 3G, 13 hours on LTE and up to 13 hours on Wi-Fi.
Display-wise, the iPhone SE has the same IPS Retina display and resolution as the iPhone 5S: 1,136 x 640 at 326 pixels per inch.
