Just one day ahead of Apple's big press event where the company is expected to unveil the iPad Mini, new rumors indicate it might also launch iTunes 11 and the third-generation of its e-book app iBooks at the same event.

French tech blog iGen.fr is reporting various books in Apple's digital bookstore now require iBooks 3.0 to download. The rumor that iBooks 3 could be unveiled at the event compliments other reports that the iPad Mini may have an education focus.

Earlier this year, Apple held an event in New York City that showed the company's plans to reinvent the education industry and bring textbooks to the iPad in schools nationwide via iBooks.

Apple may also launch at the event its upcoming update to iTunes, which was first announced alongside the iPhone 5 in September. The company said to anticipate an October launch date.

The latest iTunes aims to unify the new iTunes design on iOS 6 and roll out new features, such as an “In the Store” option for albums that allows you to see its top songs and photo-sharing capabilities from artists.
