Apple iWeb, the website creation tool for consumers, has released a few updates to its service.

For one, it's added Web snippets. This lets you add embed code for the inclusion of widgets on your website, like YouTube videos, etc. This latest version also includes Google integration of AdSense and Maps. You can register for Google AdSense directly through iWeb, and choose how it will be displayed on the website. Google Maps can be added with the standard iWeb's drag'n'drop functionality to wherever you'd like them to show up on the website as well.

More web-based tools are moving in this direction, such as SynthaSite and MindTouch. In other Apple news, .Mac has gotten a bunch of upgrades as well.
