Here's a drink that knows how to dress up properly for a night on the town.

If your regular drink is a classic Manhattan with cherries, it's time to mix up your order.

Give your drink a seasonal, sweet makeover with maple syrup and diced apples sautéed with just a tablespoon or so of butter.

Peel the apples before you sautée them and let them cook in the pan over medium-low heat for about 10 minutes, or until the apples are soft and translucent but not browned.

Add a drizzle of maple syrup, use your favorite bitters and don't forget to serve this drink well chilled.

After all, a drink this sultry might heat up the cocktail party rather quickly.
