Apple Music turns three today, and if you want to be around for its next birthday, you'll have to start paying.

For those who opted into the free trial on the day of its launch and were hoping to end the subscription today, we're sorry to say Apple has already started billing subscribers for the next 30-day billing cycle.

Don't worry, though. You can get a refund, and it's relatively simple. iTunes will link you to Apple Support, and you can request to reverse the charges via phone or chat.

You can also turn off auto-renewal so that you can avoid this in the future. In the top right of your iTunes window, click your name and select Account Info in the drop-down menu.

Click Manage next to the Subscription option.

Select Apple Music Membership, and you'll see an On/Off option for Automatic Renewal. You can also do the same thing in the Apple Music app.

One month after the service launched, Apple executives told USA Today it had 11 million trial members. Now that the trial period is ending for many users, we'll have to wait and see how the numbers pan out over the next few weeks.

Subscribers pay $9.99 per month for an individual membership or $14.99 per month for a family membership. Non-subscribers can still listen to the Apple Music radio stations with limited skipping and the Beats 1 radio station for free.
