Think Nike+, but not just for sneakers -- for shirts, sweatpants, skates or skis. That's the future of wearable tech, or "smart garments," envisioned by an Apple patent approved this week.
The patent indicates that we can probably expect the Nike+ line to expand to other garments. It also shows how garments will be able to tell the wearer when the garment has reached its expected lifetime and should be replaced.
