The Apple Store is back up after it was down for the duration of the Apple Watch event on Monday.

Apple showed off its smartwatch -- and all its bells and whistles -- during a launch event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. It marked the company's first foray into wearables, and was possibly the most anticipated gadget of the year.

The Apple Store typically goes down on mornings of big product launches, and Monday was no exception.

Apple also released a svelte new MacBook during the event.
