Apple Updates iTunes to Include iTunes Radio

Apple updated iTunes to version 11.1 Wednesday, bringing a number of new features to the music software.

The biggest update: iTunes Radio. iTunes Radio is a new streaming radio offering from Apple that lets you build stations around your favorite artists and tunes. Much like other online radio services it learns from you as you listen, making better recommendations over time.

iTunes Radio will be available not only through iTunes on your computer, but also on the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Apple TV with the release of iOS 7.

iTunes 11.1 also adds iTunes Player for easier access to your iTunes content, and a new “Genius Shuffle” mode that creates the perfect mix of your tunes.

Apple launched iTunes 11.1 a little after noon ET on Wednesday, and then temporarily reverted to iTunes 11.0.5 Wednesday before making the software available again.

You can download iTunes 11.1 now.
