In the rush to parse all the details around the Apple Watch and its much-hyped bands, it was unclear whether or not all the wristbands -- regardless of price -- would be interchangeable.

We now know that you can, in fact, use any of its bands on any of its Apple Watch cases. What looked like a smartwatch class warfare talking point is nothing more than a missing detail in Apple's initial launch.

Apple confirmed the interchangeable dynamic of the bands on any of the Apple Watch cases to Mashable on Tuesday.

The big news here is that you'll actually be able to buy the $10,000 gold Apple Watch Edition -- and, if you so choose, accessorize it with a plastic $49 band.

Similarly, you'll be able to pick up a $349 Apple Watch Sport and frame with Apple's pricey $449.00 link bracelet. Only upon close inspection will anyone truly know that you're classing up your budget-friendly version of the device with an expensive bit of wrist camouflage.

Such potentially gaudy sights (imagine the pink Sport band on the gold Edition case!) would seem to defy Apple's usual focus on the design experience. But, in this case, it appears that the company is more focused ramping up adopting it first wearable rather than tightly controlling how it's customized.
