Even AppleCare for the gold Apple Watch Edition will be ridiculously expensive.

AppleCare+, the company's optional protection plan that covers the cost of some accidental damage, will be $999 for the Apple Watch's most expensive model, according to a new report.

The plan will cover the cost of repairs for two incidents of accidental hardware damage, 9to5Mac reported. Additionally, it will include three years of 24/7 technical support (two years of tech support are included with the Apple Watch Edition, but AppleCare+ adds an additional year to this plan.)

Apple Care+ plans for the Apple Watch Sport and stainless-steel model will cost $59 and $79, respectively, according to the report. They will also cover two incidents of accidental damage, and include two years of technical support.

Nearly $1,000 may sound like a lot for an AppleCare+ plan, but 9to5Mac said the price is roughly 10% of the device's base cost, which is in line with the company's AppleCare+ pricing for other products. Those who buy the Apple Watch Edition will also be treated to a special in-store experience that allows them to skip the line, and try on the gold watch in a special private section of the Apple Store, according to previous reports.

The Apple Watch is expected to go on sale later this month on April 24.
