Apple unveiled a revamped Photos app for iOS 8 at its Worldwide Developers Conference on Monday that includes new smart editing tools that will sync edits across iOS devices.

The revamped Photos app will automatically sync with iCloud to make all images available across devices.

The app includes new smart editing tools to easily crop and straighten photos and adjust the color and light levels. Since the photos are synced to iCloud, all edits are automatically preserved across devices.

The storage will count against the 5GB of free iCloud storage users currently get, so if you have a lot of photos, you'll need to upgrade your iCloud plan. Apple also announced new iCloud plans-- 20GB for $0.99 a month and 200 GB for $3.99 a month.

Apple will also be launching a new photo management app for Mac with the upcoming OS X Yosemite, expected in early 2015, that will feature the same smart editing tools as the iOS app.
