Apprema announced today that they have been in private beta, and moving quickly to full release, of their new product, StarMail.

StarMail is a new form of online mail system with the foal of strengthening your relationship with your existing customers and attracting new ones. You simply log in to the service, choose the template for your email, add company logos and your signature image, and then you can either send the email or pass it on to your co-workers so that it can be worked on in collaboration. Once everyone has approved it, and all the signatures added, it will then be sent on to the recipient.

Since all of this is done in an online setting, Apprema aims to be able to offer email services to companies without large IT support as no software needs to be deployed.

In a unique feature, the sender can choose to include a StarGift with the correspondence that looks like a normal gift card. The list of potential companies includes such names as Starbucks, iTunes, SpaFinder, Sharper Image, Home Depot and more. If you send a gift to someone who doesn't enjoy it (say, you send a Starbucks card to someone who hates coffee), they can exchange the gift card for any other of an equal value. If they have no desire to use the card, they can also donate it to charity if they choose.
