Do you know what it's like to miss a rock legend?

In January, Arcade Fire paid tribute to the late David Bowie by organizing a special second line parade in New Orleans.

The parade -- documented and released via YouTube -- commemorated the Thin White Duke by asking parade-goers to "wear their best Bowie outfit or something more strange." It crawled the extent of the French Quarter from Preservation Hall on St. Peter Street to One Eyed Jacks on Toulouse Street.

"There are few artists that could possibly bring together this incredible group of people," extolled Ben Jaffe, the creative director of Preservation Hall. "You all are amazing."

Arcade Fire's frontman, Winn Butler, continues the kick-off by offering a few words: "This is about him and this is about all of you and just how we felt about David. Thank you all for coming. God bless David wherever he's at."

In 2005, Bowie and Arcade Fire performed together at Radio City Music Hall in New York. Shortly before the concert, Bowie shared with Mirror Online how he played a part in the band's start: "I'd do [the performance] only if they got Arcade Fire to perform. They're fantastic. I discovered them a year ago [in 2004]."

Thanks to the Preservation Hall & the city of New Orleans. We hope David could hear the noise and feel the deep love https://t.co/Lj4yGfIg2X— Arcade Fire (@arcadefire) February 10, 2016
