There's nothing more feminist than using Twitter to call out sexism with your mother. That's what Ariana Grande and her own mom, Joan, did on Sunday, beginning when the latter tweeted this:

What's wrong with this picture?? pic.twitter.com/NJOi4sUyHs— Joan Grande (@joangrande) October 18, 2015

The discrepancies are obvious: "Women's interests" magazines are devoted to beauty, fitness and celebrity culture. "Men's interests" feature diverse covers and subject matter.

Ariana responded several hours later, calling more attention to her mother's original tweet:

@joangrande oh! so women are only interested in tabloids& if I want to read about cars, business, science I have to go to the MEN'S section?— Ariana Grande (@ArianaGrande) October 18, 2015

The singer added that she knows men who read the so-called "women's interests" magazines.

@joangrande and I know mannnnnnnny men who are going to the magazine section for a Cosmo or Vogue or an Elle! — Ariana Grande (@ArianaGrande) October 18, 2015

With several celebrities and prominent women in Hollywood speaking about their feminist views, it's extra empowering to see Grande and her mother team up to call out sexism in the media. As Joan put it, "It's 2015, this must stop, awareness is the only way."

Preach it, Mom.
