Photo series imagines what the Internet would look like as soothing blocks of color

The Internet can be an overwhelming place, so two people are trying to simplify it.

Artist Rafaël Rozendaal and photographer Don Lewis imagined how some of the websites you visit the most -- like Instagram, Gmail and Pinterest -- would look as simple blocks of color with no text to be found.

The inspiration for the art, which is being shown at an exhibit in Los Angeles through Feb. 6, came from a Google plugin that converts crowded websites into walls of abstract, colored rectangles.
