Asus Is Selling Nearly 1 Million Nexus 7 Tablets Per Month [REPORT]

Asus's sales of Google's 7-inch tablet, the Nexus 7, are approaching one million units per month, The Wall Street Journal reports.

“At the beginning, it was, for instance, 500K units a month, then maybe 600, 700K. This latest month, it was close to 1 million,” Asustek Chief Financial Officer David Chang told WSJ.

The Nexus 7 began shipping in July 2012 and was met with high demand from the start. The device is a 7-inch, Android Jelly Bean tablet with a 1280x800 pixel display and a quad-core processor.

Google has unveiled an updated version of the Nexus 7 last week with more storage and a 3G option; that version is going on sale Nov 13.
