Remember those E.T. game cartridges that were uncovered in a New Mexico desert in April? Now they're on eBay.

Decades of video game speculation was brought to an end earlier this year when a crew unearthed a bunch of Atari 2600 cartridges in Alamogordo, New Mexico. This week, the city's Tularosa Basin Historical Society decided to sell some online.

E.T. could be yours for a few hundred dollars, but the seller notes that it might not actually work.

The listing states:

The purchaser will receive the game as portrayed in photo above, City property I.D. tag, the Certificate of Authenticity and a narrative with photos of the 1983 burial and the 2014 excavation proving the legend to be true. The seller does not represent that this item is operable; it was buried for 30 years. SOLD AS IS.

Tularosa Basin Historical Society Vice President Joe Lewandowski announced the first 100 cartridges would be sold first, in order to gauge what people are willing to pay; then, hundreds more may be listed, Alamogordo News reports.

"We're selling them on eBay because it's the best thing to hit worldwide and this is a worldwide phenomenon. I've got people from England, Spain, Italy, Thailand and basically places all over the world asking for them," Lewandowski said.

Other titles are available, including Asteroids, Missile Command, Warlords, Defender, Star Raiders, Swordquest, Phoenix and Centipede.

The E.T. game was famously derided for its gameplay. Maybe it has improved with age.
