AT&T Censors Negative Comments from Customers

Reading the fine print on AT&T's new terms of service contract is not a priority for most customers.  This may change, however, since the communications provider can apparently disconnect your service for spreading negative messages through blog posts or other mediums.  Check out the company's statement:

“AT&T may immediately terminate or suspend all or a portion of your Service, any Member ID, electronic mail address, IP address, Universal Resource Locator or domain name used by you, without notice, for conduct that AT&T believes … tends to damage the name or reputation of AT&T, or its parents, affiliates and subsidiaries.”

For more specific information on what AT&T considers damaging, refer to the consumer contract (I already scheduled a date with my documents for next weekend...oooh the anticipation!).  Maybe AT&T is preparing for problems similar to those encountered by Skype and Google in China as they expand their global offerings.
