Starting July 17th, AT&T will extend its standard mobile insurance plan to all models of the iPhone, reports MacRumors.

The plan costs $4.99 per month with a $50 or $125 deductible, depending on which iPhone you have. Unlike Apple's own two-year $69 plan, AT&T's insurance covers accidental damage, theft and loss.

This is an improvement over the current $11.99 per month plan that AT&T offers customers through a third party, which was an improvement over its original insurance offering for the phone: zilch.
